In the latest episode of ‘People by WTF,’ host Nikhil Kamath has an open and insightful discussion with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. Known for his versatility and charm, Kapoor talks about various aspects of his personal and professional journey, reflecting on both his successes and challenges.
During their conversation, Ranbir also spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his charismatic leadership. When Nikhil Kamath asked Ranbir about his views on politics, Ranbir shared his experience of meeting the Prime Minister. He described the meeting as wonderful and memorable.
Ranbir said, “When I met our Prime Minister, all of us went to meet him, 4 or 5 years ago. He had this magnetic charm about him. He came, sat down, and spoke to each person about something personal. For example, my father (Rishi Kapoor) was undergoing treatment at that time, and he asked how the treatment was going and what was happening.” Ranbir explained how personal Modi was in his interactions. He added, “Great men put in that kind of effort. They don’t need to, but they do. Shah Rukh Khan also does this. Many successful people put in that effort, which says a lot about them.”
Nikhil Kamath also shared a story about the Prime Minister. He said he has had the privilege of being around him at a few events. “I respect and admire him,” Nikhil said. He recounted a time when they were in Washington DC. “Once, we were in the US, and he had a speaking session with us and a few American businessmen at 8 AM. Then, he gave a speech somewhere else at 11 AM, sat with the Vice President at 1 PM, did something else at 4 PM, had another event at 8 PM, and yet another at 11 PM. By 8 PM, I was exhausted and feeling sick after two days. But he was still full of energy and was then heading to Egypt to repeat the same schedule. His energy at his age is incredible. There’s a lot to learn from him,” Nikhil recalled.
