Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday stated that the Special Investigation Team examining allegations related to Ram Temple offerings would uncover all relevant facts. He appealed to devotees to avoid being influenced by narratives that seek to cast doubts on the temple’s reputation and Ayodhya’s spiritual significance.
The controversy emerged after accusations surfaced regarding the management of donations and offerings received at the Ram Temple.
Opposition leaders have questioned the handling of temple assets, while law enforcement agencies have reportedly initiated action against certain individuals in connection with the matter.
While addressing a public event in Rudauli, the Chief Minister accused Congress and the Samajwadi Party of displaying political inconsistency. He argued that parties which had earlier opposed the Ram Temple movement were now presenting themselves as defenders of devotees’ interests.
CM Yogi further alleged that these political groups had previously challenged the temple campaign and were now attempting to gain political mileage from the ongoing controversy.
The Chief Minister said the Temple Trust requested an independent investigation into the allegations, following which the government constituted the SIT. He stated that the SIT will examine all aspects of the case and present its findings based on the evidence gathered during the inquiry.
CM Yogi also encouraged individuals possessing any relevant information to submit evidence to the investigating authorities.
Concluding his remarks, CM Yogi urged worshippers to remain committed to the ideals associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. He emphasised the need to maintain trust in the investigative process and cautioned against efforts aimed at tarnishing the image of Ayodhya and the revered temple.
