Ram Bhajans To Be Played Across UP State Buses: Musical Tribute Extends Until January 22

In anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has issued directives to play Ram Bhajans on the public address systems installed in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses until January 22.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a review meeting with officials focusing on the upcoming consecration ceremony, instructed the organization of various programs, including bhajans, recitation of the Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas, and Sundarkand in the temples of Ayodhya from January 14 onwards.

As part of the action plan prepared by the Transport Department for January 22, a cleanliness drive will be implemented in all passenger vehicles and bus stations. Popular Ram bhajans will be played on the public address system in buses to inspire travelers with the life of Lord Shri Ram.

The broadcasting initiative aims to include renditions of devotional songs related to Lord Ram by various artists, along with bhajans and hymns that are currently popular among the public. Local singers will also contribute to the devotional atmosphere.

The action plan extends to training bus drivers to ensure compliance with safe driving practices, traffic rules, and proper conduct towards tourists. This includes wearing uniforms, refraining from intoxication and tobacco use, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to specified fares.

Furthermore, interceptor vehicles will be deployed within a 200-kilometer radius of Ayodhya to assist tourists, addressing issues such as overloading, drunken driving, wrong-side driving, overcharging, and enforcing safety measures. Help desks will be established at toll plazas to assist tourists traveling between Lucknow and Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya, and Sultanpur and Ayodhya.
