Rajnath Singh Hails Noida’s Transformation from Corruption to Business Hub, Credits BJP Governance

Noida: Formerly infamous as the “epicenter of corruption,” Noida has undergone a transformation into the “center of business,” attributed to the BJP’s double-engine governance, stated senior party leader Rajnath Singh in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Tuesday. Singh highlighted the region’s past plagued by criminal influence, leading to population migration, but credited the present turnaround to the BJP-led administration.

Addressing an electoral rally in Bisaha village, Greater Noida, to garner support for BJP’s Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha candidate, Mahesh Sharma, ahead of the April 26 polling, Singh reminisced about Noida’s tainted reputation. “You are well aware of Noida’s history. It was once notorious for rampant corruption among Uttar Pradesh politicians and officials,” he remarked.

“Now, I proudly assert that Noida, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has shed its past reputation of corruption to emerge as a thriving business hub,” continued Singh. “The fear instilled by criminals and their dominance, which once prompted residents to consider relocation, is now a thing of the past,” he added, praising the governance of the state’s double-engine government.

Singh highlighted Noida’s current standing as a symbol of tourism and exemplary law and order, not only within Uttar Pradesh but across India. “Today, Uttar Pradesh is no longer associated with criminal records; instead, it boasts significant investment from India and abroad, exemplary law enforcement, and impressive expressways,” he emphasized.

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also took credit for the initiation of the Noida International Airport project in the Jewar region of Gautam Buddh Nagar. “The Jewar Airport project is well underway. Sisters and brothers, during my tenure as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, I recall proposing the Jewar Airport project to the Government of India,” he stated.

Singh expressed gratitude towards PM Modi and CM Yogi for their commitment to making Jewar India’s largest airport, with construction progressing rapidly. He emphasized that the state’s progress is evident to the public and highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s significant economic growth, projecting it to reach a trillion-dollar milestone in a few years. “This achievement is significant; Uttar Pradesh contributes a fifth of the country’s GDP. A remarkable transformation has taken place,” he concluded.
