Pindwara Abu MLA, Samaram Grasiya, who also belongs to tribal community, during a discussion over reservation to tribals in Rajasthan Assembly said that those tribals who have converted to Christianity should not get the benefits of schemes solely made for tribal community.
Rajasthan Assembly on Thursday discussed the issue of reservation to tribal community as tribals gathered there. Tribals from four states- Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra-demanding a separate Bhil Pradesh gathered Mangarh Dham in Banswara of Rajsthan.

“I come from a tribal area… many tribals have converted their religion and become Christians, this should be investigated,” he said, adding that those tribals who do not consider themselves Hindus should not get the benefit of reservation.
The MLA also said that “every tribal is Hindu” and those, who do not consider themselves Hindus, should be removed from the list of tribals.
The another MLA, Lalit Meena from Kishanganj alos voice his opinion, he said that those who have changes their religion should not be able to reap the benefits of reservation.
