Rajasthan’s school education department has initiated a significant endeavour called the ‘Safe School, Safe Rajasthan’ campaign to raise awareness among students of government schools about the concept of ‘unsafe touch,’ as announced by an official spokesperson.
This comprehensive campaign has reached out to more than 57 lakh students across over 65,000 government schools, focusing on educating them about the crucial distinction between ‘Good Touch’ and ‘Bad Touch.’
The Government Secretary of the department, Naveen Jain, emphasized the commendable initiative undertaken by the state government. On a single day, starting from 8 am till noon, special training sessions were conducted across all government schools in each of the 50 districts of Rajasthan.
During the first phase of this drive, more than one lakh training sessions were conducted in a total of 65,284 government schools located within the state. This extensive effort successfully imparted knowledge to over 57 lakh students regarding the critical topic of ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch.’

Looking ahead, the campaign is set to continue its positive impact. Plans have been laid out for further rounds of training sessions in all government schools throughout the state. These repeat sessions are scheduled for October and January 2024, ensuring that the message of safety and understanding resonates continuously.
In a progressive move, the campaign will encompass private schools as well, showcasing the ambitious scope of the Rajasthan government’s endeavour. To signify this inclusion, a training session was recently conducted at a private school in the region, reaffirming the commitment to creating a secure educational environment for all students.
