Rahul Gandhi’s Scathing Critique, Says “King’s Soul is in EVM”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in what seemed to be a pointed critique aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has raised concerns about the integrity of the Electoral Voting Machines (EVMs), alleging manipulation. During his speech, Gandhi remarked, “The soul of the King resides in the EVM, as does the essence of every institution in the country, including the ED, CBI, and Income Tax department.”

Gandhi went on to share a narrative involving a senior leader from Maharashtra who purportedly left the party and expressed remorse to Sonia Gandhi, citing an inability to confront the prevailing power dynamics and a fear of legal repercussions. He emphasized that numerous others have encountered similar situations, indicating a broader issue within the political landscape.

Speaking on the challenges faced, Gandhi invoked Hindu terminology, mentioning the concept of “Shakti” and asserting that they are contending with a formidable force. He emphasized the necessity of their journey, lamenting the purported lack of media attention towards critical national issues such as unemployment, inflation, farmer grievances, and the Agniveer issue.

Rahul Gandhi is concluding his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra with a rally at Shivaji Park, joined by several prominent leaders from the INDIA bloc, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Upon his arrival, Gandhi paid homage to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and visited the memorial of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray to pay his respects. It’s noteworthy that Shivaji Park has historically been a significant venue for rallies and gatherings of the Shiv Sena.

The last Congress rally held at this venue dates back to 2003, addressed by Sonia Gandhi.
