Rahul Gandhi To Visit Raebareli; To Engage With Constituents

On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Raebareli, marking his first trip to the constituency since assuming his role as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Upon arrival at Fursatganj airport, Gandhi will head directly to Bhuemau Guest House, where he plans to meet with various delegations representing different sections of society, as well as local residents and party leaders, according to party sources.

Pankaj Tiwari, the president of the Raebareli district Congress committee stated, “Alongside meeting with delegations, party members, and residents, he may also undertake a surprise visit within the constituency.”

A senior party leader mentioned a tentative plan for Rahul Gandhi to meet with district officials, although they have not yet confirmed it.

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit the family of the late Captain Anshuman Singh, who demonstrated extraordinary bravery during a fire in Siachen in July 2023.

President Droupadi Murmu awarded Captain Singh the Kirti Chakra posthumously for saving three lives during the incident.

This visit is likely to strengthen Rahul Gandhi’s connection with his constituency and provide him with firsthand insights into the concerns and needs of his constituents.
