Rahul Gandhi Insulted Residents Of Amethi In Wayanad: Smriti Irani

Amethi : Union Minister Smriti Irani launched a harsh assault on former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday, claiming that he gave little attention to the development of Amethi under his mother’s administration at the Centre and his colleague Akhilesh Yadav’s government in Uttar Pradesh.

Irani stated that they talked about Amethi being a member of their family but did not carry out their family obligations. The minister was speaking at a program held at Kaliji Maidan in Visheshwarganj after laying the groundwork for the doubling of the Amethi to Kithawar (Pratapgarh) route.

“The Namdars dominated Delhi with the backing of the people of Amethi, but they did not think about Amethi, and Rahul Gandhi, in particular, paid little attention to Amethi’s growth,” Irani said.

The BJP MP stated that the job, which had not been done in 50 years, was completed in Amethi under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and that the current administration has demonstrated this in five years. Irani, the current MP of Amethi, emphasized that Prime Minister Modi visited Amethi in 2019 and stated that he had come to bring about change, and that as a result of his development efforts over the previous five years, Amethi now appears to have transformed.

Later, she told the media that while Mataji’s administration was operating at the Centre and his colleague Akhilesh Yadav’s government was functioning in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi disregarded Amethi, ignored the sensibilities of Amethi residents, and did not conduct any development work.
Whatever he stated about the people of Amethi after visiting Wayanad was an insult to their sensibilities. “The same Amethi that propelled him to success, he insulted the people of Amethi in Wayanad,” she continued.

When asked why Congress has not declared a candidate in Amethi yet, Irani stated that it is the outcome of 50 years and five years of development work that Congress has been unable to generate the confidence to field a candidate from here. “They have now recognized that Amethi is not with them; rather, it is with development, which has been carried out by Narendra Modi.” She stated that the Gandhi-Nehru family discussed their familial links with Amethi, but they did not fulfill the responsibilities that came with it.

Rahul Gandhi did not appear in Amethi following his electoral defeat. He left Amethi impoverished. No one abandons his family in this manner. Anyone who claims this is his family also accepts responsibility for it. She stated that neither Rahul nor Priyanka were spotted anywhere during the Corona crisis or any other incident.
Irani stated that she had previously witnessed Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting. Their bonhomie is not apparent anywhere. Akhilesh is not visible, and he is well aware that he would be alone in Amethi for the assembly elections, according to Irani. She underlined that there has been significant progress in Amethi over the last five years under Prime Minister Modi and presented an overview of different initiatives performed.
