Rahul Gandhi Attacks BJP In Lok Sabha: ‘Six People Control Lotus Chakravyuh’

On Monday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led Central government of creating a ‘Chakravyuh’ (an impregnable war formation from the Mahabharata) targeting the youth, farmers, women, and small businesses. Addressing the House, the Congress leader identified six individuals at the center of this ‘Lotus (BJP’s symbol) formation’: Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani.

“Thousands of years ago in Kurukshetra, six individuals ensnared Abhimanyu in a ‘Chakravyuh’ and killed him. I researched and found that ‘Chakravyuh’ is also known as ‘Padmavyuh’—a ‘Lotus formation’. In the 21st century, a new ‘Chakravyuh’ has emerged, also in the form of a Lotus. The Prime Minister wears its symbol proudly. What was done to Abhimanyu is being done to India—the youth, farmers, women, and small and medium businesses. Today, six people are at the center of this ‘Chakravyuh’: Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval, Ambani, and Adani,” Rahul Gandhi stated in the House.

When Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla intervened, Rahul Gandhi offered to omit the names of NSA, Ambani, and Adani, and focus on just three names.

Rahul Gandhi further elaborated on his allegations, citing three forces behind this ‘Chakravyuh’:

“The ‘Chakravyuh’ that has captured India is driven by three forces: 1) The idea of monopoly capital, where a few individuals control the nation’s wealth. 2) The nation’s institutions and agencies like CBI, ED, and IT. 3) The political executive. These three forces together form the core of this ‘Chakravyuh’ and have devastated the country,” he explained.

Criticizing the Union Budget, Rahul Gandhi claimed its sole aim was to bolster monopoly frameworks.

“I expected this Budget to weaken the power of the ‘Chakravyuh’, to help farmers, youth, laborers, and small businesses. Instead, its sole aim is to strengthen monopoly businesses, political monopolies that erode democratic structures, and the deep state and its agencies. As a result, those who provided employment, such as small and medium businesses, were attacked through demonetisation, GST, and tax terrorism,” he added.

Rahul Gandhi promised that the INDIA bloc would pass a bill guaranteeing MSP in the House.

“I assure the farmers that we will achieve what the NDA has not. We will pass a bill guaranteeing legal MSP in this House. Previously, the middle class supported PM Modi, even banging ‘thalis’ during Covid at his behest. Now, with this Budget, the same middle class has been betrayed,” he asserted.
