Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, announced the upcoming ‘Bharat Dojo Yatra’ today. He shared a video on social media showcasing his martial arts practice during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
On National Sports Day, Gandhi posted clips of himself practicing jiu-jitsu every evening at a campsite during the earlier Bharat Jodo Yatra. He explained that ‘Dojo’ refers to a martial arts training hall or school.
He detailed how daily jiu-jitsu sessions evolved into community events. The sessions involved both yatris and local children. Gandhi aimed to introduce young minds to the ‘Gentle Art,’ which combines meditation, jiu-jitsu, Aikido, and peaceful conflict resolution techniques.

Gandhi emphasized the goal of teaching children to transform violence into gentleness. He believes this approach will help build a more compassionate and safer society.
Additionally, Gandhi expressed his hope that the ‘Gentle Art’ will inspire the new generation. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which Gandhi undertook in two phases before the 2024 General Elections, covered Kanyakumari to Kashmir and Manipur to Mumbai.
