On Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on an official visit to Russia and Austria from 8-10 July.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Moscow on 8 July at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The two leaders will convene for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit, where they will review the entire range of multifaceted relations between the two countries and exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Following his engagements in Russia, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Austria on 9 July, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 41 years.
In Austria, he will meet with President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
The discussions are likely to focus on strengthening bilateral ties, with both leaders set to address business leaders from India and Austria.
In addition to official meetings, the Prime Minister will interact with members of the Indian community in both Moscow and Vienna, reinforcing the cultural and people-to-people connections between India and these nations.
This visit underscores India’s commitment to enhancing its diplomatic and economic partnerships with key global players, as well as its proactive engagement in addressing regional and global challenges.
