On 18 June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on his first visit to Kashi after assuming office for the third consecutive term, and he will visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
This visit holds special significance as it coincides with the ongoing festivities following Ganga Dussehra, infusing an extra layer of spirituality and festivity into the atmosphere.
The temple administration has meticulously planned and executed preparations for the PM’s visit, ensuring a seamless and grand event.
Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of the Kashi Vishwanath Trust, confirmed that they have put all necessary arrangements, including security protocols, in place to guarantee the success of the event.
Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Mishra recalled the PM’s previous visit to Kashi during Ganga Saptami and highlighted the continued festive decor from Ganga Dussehra celebrations that will adorn the temple surroundings during this visit.
Mishra described the traditional reception planned for the Prime Minister, explaining that they would welcome PM Modi at the temple with ‘damrus’ and ‘shanknaad’, along with Vedic chants in the sanctum sanctorum, followed by prayers to Lord Vishwanath. He emphasized their full preparation for the visit and their commitment to upholding the sanctity of the occasion.
Mishra emphasized the inclusivity of the arrangements, assuring devotees that they have taken all necessary measures to ensure their convenience during the visit.
“We have taken care to ensure that all devotees visiting the temple will have the opportunity for ‘darshan’ of the deity without any inconvenience,” he affirmed.
