Prime Minister Narendra Modi To Virtually Distribute 51,000+ Appointment Letters In 16th Rozgar Mela Drive

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly selected candidates in government departments and organisations during the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela.

The event, likely to begin at 11 AM, will also include an address by the Prime Minister, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The Rozgar Mela initiative reflects the government’s focus on boosting employment generation. It also aims to provide opportunities for the youth to contribute to the nation’s progress and self-reliance actively.

To date, more than 10 lakh appointment letters have been issued under the Rozgar Mela across India.

The 16th round of the employment initiative will be organised at 47 locations nationwide. Recruitment will span multiple ministries and departments of the Central Government.

New appointees from across India will join various departments, including:

  • The Ministry of Railways,
  • Ministry of Home Affairs,
  • Department of Posts,
  • Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
  • Department of Financial Services, and
  • The Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlights youth role in Nation-Building

Ahead of the event, Prime Minister Modi shared a post on the social media platform. In the post, he highlighted the government’s resolve to enhance youth participation in building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “We are determined to enhance the participation of young friends in building a developed and self-reliant India. In this series, tomorrow, 12 July, at 11 AM, I will participate in another employment fair through video conferencing, where thousands of youths will be handed appointment letters.”

In the previous edition held in April, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) distributed 6,677 appointment letters during the 15th Rozgar Mela. This underlined the government’s ongoing efforts to reinforce public service capacity.

Out of the total distributed letters, 1,805 were given in person at specific venues, while 4,872 were issued through virtual means.

Like earlier editions, the current Rozgar Mela is being conducted simultaneously at 47 locations across the country. All venues are virtually connected for the Prime Minister’s live address.
