Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns to work in Delhi, ahead of performing the last rite his mother Heeraben. Prime Minister Modi’s mother Heeraben took her last breath on early Friday. BJP Ministers calls PM as “Karmayogi.”
Ahead of her death, officials from UN Mehta Heart Hospital said, “Smt. Hiraba Modi passed away on 30/12/2022, at 3:39 am (early morning, during the treatment at UN Mehta Heart Hospital.”
While informing about his grief, PM took Twitter a posted a heartfelt tweet, “A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values.”
Despite of heart wrenching mourning, PM Modi joined the launch of the development projects in West Bengal worth Rs 7,800 crore through a video conferencing.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to carry on with his official engagements on the day he lost his mother drew praise from his ministerial colleagues and other BJP leaders who lauded his commitment and described him as a “karmayogi”.
Addressing an event in Kerela, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the prime minister told them (ministers) not to cancel their scheduled programmes and return to Delhi only after completing their work. Home Minister Amit Shah also went ahead with his programme in Karnataka.
Moreover, BJP leaders cheered the spirit of the PM attending the official events. BJP shared pictures of the event and they heaped praise for putting the “country first.”

Union minister Anurag Thakur said, “Grief-stricken, but country first !! An only too well-known characteristic of our prime minister.”
“He continues to participate in pre-scheduled events, just hours after performing the last rites of his mother. A true Karmayogi veritably. Hats off! Countless workers like us are inspired and energized by your supreme efforts and commitment,” Mr. Thakur added.
Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai tweeted, “Nation first, Self last. My PM, My Pride!” BJP national general secretary C T Ravi said, “Nothing, not even personal loss will stop PM Narendra Modi from discharging his duties for Bharata Mata.”
Another Union minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, praised Prime Minister Modi’s dutifulness, dedication, and sacrifice.
While praising the Prime Minister’s commitment, his Cabinet colleague Giriraj Singh said it is not possible for a man to have so much dedication.
