Prime Minister Narendra Modi Met German Signer Cassandra Mae Spittmann, Heard Achyutam Keshavam

PM met the German signer Cassandra Mae Spittmann and her mother in Palladam. Cassandra Mae Spittmann was mentioned by PM in one of his Mann Ki Baat programmes. She sings songs, specially devotional songs in many Indian languages. Today she sang ‘Achyutam Keshavam’ and a Tamil song in front of PM Modi.

Who is Cassandra Mae Spittmann?

Germany’s Cassandra Mae Spittmann captivated India with her captivating performances of Tamil songs, including devotional pieces. The 21-year-old singer Spittmann, who has never been to India, was mentioned on Sunday’s 105th episode of “Mann Ki Baat,” the monthly radio program hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi performed two of Spittmann’s songs during the performance: a Kannada song and a Sanskrit sloka devoted to the Hindu god Lord Vishnu, “Jagat Jaana Palam.”

Apart from Kannada and Sanskrit, Modi stated that Spittmann is a proficient musician in several other Indian languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Assamese, and Bengali.

All India Radio applauded the German singer

In a post shared on X (formerly jknown as Twitter), All India Radio appreciated Germany’s Cassandra Mae Spittmann ‘s passion for Indian culture and music. Along with thewords of appreciation, AIR shared one of her songs sung in Kannada.

He introduced the songs without revealing the singer’s identity and later disclosed, “What a sweet voice… and through the emotions reflected in every word, we can feel her love for God. If I disclose that this melodious voice belongs to a daughter from Germany, perhaps you will be even more surprised! The name of this daughter is – Cassandra Mae Spittmann.”

“Indian culture and music have now become global. The fascination of people all over the world towards them is increasing day by day. I am playing you a short audio of a presentation made by a lovely daughter,” the PM added.
