PM Modi becomes Most Popular Leader of the World
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi came out to be the most popular leader of the world in a recent Morning Consult survey. This is not the first time that PM Modi got to the top rank in the list, he has been there the last time as well.
The most current approval ratings from Morning Consult are based on information collected from January 30 to February 5. According to Morning Consult’s report, these ratings are a seven-day moving average of adult respondents’ opinions from each surveyed nation.
With 64% of the vote, Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico is in second place, and Alain Berset of Switzerland is in third place with 57%. Fourth and fifth positions are bagged by Poland’s Donald Tusk and Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva respectively with 505 and 47% rating.
Australia’s Anthony Albanese is standing strong on sixth position with 45% approval rating. Giorgia Meloni from Italy and Pedro Sanchez from Spain holds seventh and eight position with 44% and 38% approval rating. Joe Biden of the United States got ninth position with 37% rating. The leader of US’ neighboring nation, Canada, Justin Trudeau is on the next spot with approval rating of 35%.
Erik Solheim is the Former Minister of Climate and the Environment of Norway. While sharing the data in an X post, the former Norway minister wrote, “How jeaulous are Western leaders? With an Incredible 77% approval rate for Prime Minister Modi, maybe it is time for Western media to give India and Modiji some positive coverage?”
With different weighting parameters and target populations for each surveyed country, the data is weighted to approximate representative samples of adult respondents. A more accurate representation of public opinion across various demographic groups and geographic regions is made possible by this methodological approach.
