Connecting Citizens with Governance

Launched in October 2014, Mann Ki Baat has become a signature initiative, allowing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to interact directly with citizens and highlight themes of national importance.

The programme has often inspired mass participation in campaigns for cleanliness, environmental protection, digital awareness, women’s empowerment and grassroots innovation.

People share their suggestions through platforms such as MyGov and the NaMo App, and each episode draws on these inputs to reinforce the spirit of participatory governance.

In the previous 124th episode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed joy at India’s achievements in space, science, sports and culture.

He highlighted the return of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla from space, describing it as a moment of immense national pride that filled the country with happiness.

Sunday’s edition will celebrate inspiring stories of ordinary citizens and highlight their contributions to society.

As India progresses through the Amrit Kaal, the Prime Minister’s outreach through Mann Ki Baat continues to strengthen the bond between governance and the people.

The 125th episode marks not just a communication milestone but also a testament to the enduring relevance of dialogue in shaping collective progress.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tianjin, China, on Saturday to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit after concluding his visit to Japan earlier in the day.
