President Murmu described the news as ‘extremely heartbreaking’ and said Khanduri would always be remembered for his honest, transparent and development-oriented politics after an exemplary career in the Indian Army.

Prime Minister Modi expressed deep sorrow over the veteran leader’s demise. He also remembered Khanduri’s ‘invaluable contributions’ both in the armed forces and politics.
