President Droupadi Murmu on Friday met revered saint Premanand Maharaj at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram in Vrindavan, engaging in a spiritual dialogue and seeking his blessings. The meeting marked a key highlight of the President’s ongoing three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, where she is participating in religious ceremonies and public engagements.
Arriving at the Ashram in the morning amid tight security, she was welcomed by disciples and local representatives before beginning her interaction. The discussion focused on spiritual values and the role of faith in promoting harmony and societal well-being.
The visit forms part of her broader itinerary across Ayodhya, Mathura, and Vrindavan, where she has been offering prayers at prominent temples and sacred sites since March 19.
On Thursday evening, President Murmu visited the ISKCON Temple in Mathura, where she participated in the evening aarti and paid homage at the samadhi of AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
She also offered prayers at the Krishna Balaram and Shyam Sunder shrines.
Earlier, she installed the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya amid Vedic chants, marking a key milestone.
She will later visit Neem Karoli Baba’s memorial and inaugurate an Oncology Block at the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram in Vrindavan, besides visiting Vatsalya Gram, founded by Sadhvi Ritambhara.
Her visit will conclude on March 21 with prayers at the Danghati Temple in Govardhan, followed by the traditional Govardhan Parikrama before returning to New Delhi.
