Prayagraj: UP ATS Arrests Husband and Wife Involved in Naxalite Activities

PRAYAGRAJ: The Uttar Pradesh  ATS has arrested a married couple who were reportedly involved in Naxalite activities in Prayagraj. In 2019, ATS Lucknow Police Station filed a case against seven individuals, alleging their involvement in Naxalite activities occurring nationwide.

During the investigation, two accused Manish Srivastava and Amita Srivastava were arrested at the same time and sent to jail. After this, in the year 2023, two more people, Brijesh Kushwaha and Prabha involved in the illegal activities were arrested and sent to jail.

ATS has arrested Binda Sona and Kripashankar Singh for their involvement in Naxalite incidents and luring farmers and laborers to work for the Naxalite organization. Kripashankar Singh is originally from Kushinagar while his wife is from Raipur Chhattisgarh.

Some vital clues relevant to the case have been gathered by the cops and a search operation for other active members who are hiding at various locations is underway.
