Prayagraj: Stampede Like Situation At Rahul-Akhilesh’s Event, Breaking Down Police Barricades

Prayagraj : A stampede broke out at the public meeting of Samajwadi Party candidate  near Padila Mahadev Temple in Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency in Prayagraj on Sunday afternoon. Where  SP workers present there broke D’s barricading in front of the stage. Some people were also injured there. During this time, many workers also reached the stage.

SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, who was present on the stage there, also became uncomfortable. He silently sat on the chair on the stage. During this time Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also reached there. Due to the crowd gathering in front of the stage, both the leaders remained sitting for about 15 minutes. Then after talking to each other, both of them left from there.

Crowd started coming to the meeting place since morning. Akhilesh Yadav’s helicopter reached there first at 1.20 pm. During this time, all the workers were trying to break the police cordon and reach the helipad. But later the police chased everyone away from there. By the time Akhilesh reached the stage, hundreds of SP supporters present there broke the barricades installed on D near the stage.

The workers broke the barricades and entered inside. The workers climbed the stage. After this Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh got angry. Angered by this action of the workers, both the leaders left without saying anything. Both the leaders left the stage. Both the leaders left from here in a helicopter.
