Prayagraj Play School: Teenage Dance Instructor Held Over Alleged Assault Of 3-Year-Old

Police in Prayagraj have registered a case against a teenage dance instructor following an alleged sexual assault of a three-year-old girl at a play school in the Cantonment area.

The police have taken the accused into custody and are questioning him as part of the investigation.

According to the girl’s parents, who live in Civil Lines and are both doctors, they enrolled their daughter at the play school around a week before the alleged incident.

The school reportedly had female staff members and brought in a teenage boy to teach dance to the children.

The incident came to light on Saturday afternoon when the child complained to her mother of pain in her private area. Her mother noticed injuries and subsequently spoke to the child in a calm manner. The girl allegedly identified the teenage dance instructor.

Following the disclosure, the parents took the child to the Cantonment police station and informed officers about the incident.

Police registered a case against the accused late on Saturday based on the parents’ complaint.

Cantonment Station House Officer Amarnath Rai confirmed that police had registered the case based on the complaint. He said officers had taken the accused into custody and were questioning him.

Police are examining CCTV footage from the school to establish the sequence of events and verify details related to the alleged incident. The investigation is ongoing.
