Prateek Yadav Last Rites To Be Held In Lucknow Today

The last rites of Prateek Yadav, son of late Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of Aparna Yadav, will take place in Lucknow on Thursday morning at Baikunth Dham in Bhainsakund.

Family members and supporters gathered at his residence on Vikramaditya Marg to pay their final respects before the funeral procession.

Prateek Yadav, 38, died in Lucknow on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. He was also the half-brother of Akhilesh Yadav.

Aparna Yadav shared funeral details on social media and requested people to attend the last rites.

Doctors said Prateek Yadav died from sudden cardiac arrest caused by massive pulmonary thromboembolism, a condition in which a blood clot blocks an artery in the lungs, leading to cardiorespiratory collapse.

The report stated that doctors preserved cardiac and pulmonary thromboembolic material for histopathological examination, while police officials received visceral samples for chemical analysis.

Civil Hospital Director Dr GP Gupta said doctors rushed to Prateek Yadav’s residence after receiving information about his deteriorating condition around 5 AM. They later took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead at approximately 5:55 AM.

The post-mortem examination also recorded six injury marks on his body.

Doctors found contusions and blood accumulation on parts of the chest, right arm, right forearm, right elbow and left wrist.

Medical experts clarified that all injuries were ante-mortem, meaning they occurred before death.

According to the report, three injuries were around five to seven days old, while the remaining injuries appeared to be approximately one day old.

Authorities continue to preserve medical findings for further examination and investigation.
