Atiq Ahmed Under Police Remand for 7 days
Gangster–turned–politician, Atiq Ahmed was produced in front of the Prayagraj Court today. He was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in the Umesh Pal murder case. He was brought to court with complete security deployment.
Atiq Ahmed’s Lawyer has questioned the police remand. He asked, “Why does the police need to remand when Atiq is already in jail and that too in a high-profile one? In such a situation, what is the need for interrogation? We will oppose this?”
As Atiq arrived for his court appearance on Thursday, attorneys caused chaos on the grounds of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court in Prayagraj. By using Atiq’s name, the lawyers in the CJM court insulted him.
