In a daring operation, Sector-39 Police successfully intercepted a group of vehicle thieves, leading to a tense encounter. The operation took place near Sector-46 when police officers spotted two suspicious vehicles approaching from the Sector-47/48 red light. Upon signaling the vehicles to stop for routine checks, the suspects ignored the command, instead opening fire and attempting to flee through a nearby jungle in Sector-42.
As the miscreants sped away, the police pursued them, leading to a dramatic confrontation. The suspects abandoned their vehicles and fled on foot into the jungle. In the ensuing chase, police took retaliatory action, during which one of the suspects was injured by a bullet.

The injured individual has been identified as Sahdev, son of Sukhdev Sahani, a resident of Majhaul village in Bihar, with a current address in Ghaziabad. Sahdev was promptly taken into custody for medical treatment.
Further investigation led to the arrest of two additional suspects Jogendra Saini, a resident of Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, and Anas, a resident of Jahangirpur, Gautam Budh Nagar. During a combing operation, police recovered an illegal pistol, one empty shell, one live cartridge, and two stolen vehicles from the miscreants. One of the vehicles, an Eco car, was connected to a prior theft case under FIR No. 65/25 at Sector-39 Police Station, while the other, a WagonR, was used during the attempted escape.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the three suspects were seasoned vehicle thieves with extensive criminal records. Sahdev, in particular, has a long history of criminal involvement, with numerous charges related to vehicle theft, arms offenses, and drug-related crimes. His previous charges span several districts, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi. His criminal history includes the following:
Similarly, both Jogendra Saini and Anas have also been linked to criminal activities, particularly in vehicle theft, with charges registered in Noida and Aligarh.
The authorities are continuing to gather information on the suspects’ other criminal connections. Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar is committed to tracking down further criminal networks associated with the thieves. The arrest and the recovery of stolen property mark a significant success in curbing the rise of vehicle theft. This operation highlights the diligence and quick response of the Sector-39 Police, who have taken swift action to apprehend the criminals while ensuring public safety.
