On the evening of June 20, at around 6 PM, the Prime Minister will attend the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar. During this event, he will launch several development projects in the region and inaugurate the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP).
The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 84 major developmental projects valued at over Rs. 1,500 crore. These projects will span various sectors, including road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and higher education facilities. Notable initiatives include the improvement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section, the development of Industrial Estates, and the construction of six Government Degree Colleges.

Additionally, the JKCIP, worth Rs. 1,800 crore, will be launched, covering 90 blocks across 20 districts and impacting 300,000 households, benefiting 1.5 million people. The Prime Minister will also distribute appointment letters to over 2,000 new government employees, underscoring efforts to empower the youth and enhance local infrastructure.
On the morning of June 21, around 6:30 AM, the Prime Minister will participate in the 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC. He will address the gathering and join the CYP Yoga session, promoting the theme “Yoga for Self and Society.” This event aims to emphasize the benefits of yoga for both individual well-being and societal health.
Since 2015, the Prime Minister has led Yoga Day celebrations at various iconic locations, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This year’s event seeks to encourage participation across grassroots levels, particularly in rural areas, to spread the practice of yoga.
