On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will engage with grassroots workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu through a video interaction, as part of efforts to reinforce the party’s organisational strength ahead of the Assembly elections.
The session, scheduled for 4 PM, will be conducted through the NaMo App, allowing booth-level workers to participate after registering on the platform. The initiative aims at strengthening communication with local units and motivating party members during the final stretch of campaigning.
Earlier on Sunday, taking to X, PM Modi posted, “I’m very proud of our BJP Tamil Nadu Karyakartas, who have exposed the DMK’s poor governance and elaborated on the NDA’s developmental vision for the state.”
“Will interact with our hardworking Karyakartas during the ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot Samvad’ on the 13th evening,” the post read.
Party sources say a large network of booth committee members across Tamil Nadu has joined the interaction, reflecting the scale of the outreach
The development comes as election campaigning intensifies across the state.
MK Stalin and Edappadi K Palaniswami are leading extensive campaigns for their respective parties.
PM Modi will likely visit Tamil Nadu later this week for a two-day campaign tour, with public rallies planned in Nagercoil on April 15 and in Coimbatore on April 18.
The Coimbatore event is likely to feature key candidates from the politically significant Kongu region.
Senior BJP leaders have also stepped up their efforts. Party president Nitin Nabin is likely to address public meetings and interact with booth-level workers, while Amit Shah will likely campaign in the state soon.
With polling day approaching, political activity has intensified, setting the stage for a closely contested electoral battle in Tamil Nadu.
