Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a massive ‘Vijay Sankalp Sabha’ in Siliguri, West Bengal, on Sunday at 1 PM, marking a key moment in the ongoing campaign ahead of the two-phase Assembly polls later this month.
The rally will draw a large crowd, with party supporters and local residents gathering in significant numbers as campaigning accelerates across the state.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is organising the event as part of its broader outreach strategy to strengthen its foothold in the region.
Earlier, the Prime Minister addressed multiple large-scale rallies across different districts of West Bengal. Following these engagements, he participated in a grand roadshow at Bagdogra, near Siliguri in the Darjeeling district, on Saturday evening.
As his convoy moved through the streets, thousands of supporters lined the route, chanting slogans such as ‘Modi-Modi’ and ‘Jai Shree Ram’, creating an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and excitement.
Initially seated beside the driver, the Prime Minister waved to the crowds before later leaning out of the vehicle window, greeting supporters while holding a replica of the BJP’s election symbol, the lotus. His interaction further energised the gathering, with chants growing louder.
The BJP has launched an extensive campaign in West Bengal, organising over 500 rallies and public meetings to mobilise voters.
The party has deployed its top central leadership along with key state figures in what is being described as one of its most aggressive election drives in recent years.
Alongside rallies, the BJP plans to begin daily press conferences from April 15, coinciding with Poila Baisakh.
Each session will highlight key aspects of its manifesto, focusing on welfare initiatives, cultural identity, and development priorities such as agricultural reforms, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure growth.
