Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commanding performance in the Haryana Municipal Corporation elections and described the outcome as a reflection of public confidence in the BJP-led double-engine government.
Sharing his reaction on X, the Prime Minister stated that the election outcome reaffirmed people’s unwavering trust in development-focused governance and administrative stability under the BJP-NDA leadership. He also congratulated party workers for their dedicated efforts during the campaign.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also praised the party’s electoral success and thanked voters for extending continued support to the BJP. He stated that the verdict highlighted public faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and development-oriented governance model.
Saini further remarked that Haryana’s electorate had once again endorsed politics centred on national interest, good governance, and rapid development. He urged newly elected representatives to fulfil public expectations responsibly.
The BJP secured decisive victories in Ambala City, Sonipat, and Panchkula municipal corporations while also recording strong performances in several civic body elections across the state.
The party additionally captured the Sampla Municipal Committee, considered a political stronghold of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
In Rewari, BJP candidate Vineeta Pippal won the Municipal Council chairperson election by more than 21,000 votes. In Sonipat, the BJP secured 16 out of 22 municipal wards, while Rajiv Jain won the mayoral contest decisively.
