Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated popular actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna ahead of their wedding scheduled for 26 February 2026.
The Prime Minister conveyed his blessings in a letter addressed to the groom’s parents, describing the occasion as joyous and auspicious.
In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was pleased to receive the wedding invitation and extended his ‘heartiest congratulations and greetings’ to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families. He wished the couple a happy and harmonious married life, calling the wedding a beautiful new chapter.
Referring to the Hindu ritual of taking seven steps, PM Modi said the sacred bond would make them lifelong partners.
He further added that this ‘divinely scripted’ phase of their real lives would outshine their on-screen achievements and hoped they would share dreams, responsibilities and mutual respect.
The couple will hold the ceremony at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where they will host a private gathering with close family and friends, followed by receptions.
Earlier this week, the couple announced their wedding on Instagram, fondly referring to themselves as ‘VIROSH’, a name coined by their fans.
In their note, they also thanked fans for their constant support and announced they would call their union ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’ in honour of the love they have received.
The ceremony, set for 26 February 2026 in Udaipur, marks a major milestone for the couple, drawing congratulatory messages and blessings from across the country.
