PM Modi’s Visit To Maharashtra And Chhattisgarh To Focus On Major Development Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh on March 30th.

There, the Prime Minister will visit several key locations to oversee development projects and engage with the public.

His first stop will be in Nagpur, Maharashtra, where he will undertake a series of important activities.

PM To Lay Foundation Stones In Nagpur

At around 9 AM, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Smruti Mandir for a Darshan and pay homage to the founding fathers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the occasion of the Hindu New Year.

He will then visit Deekshabhoomi, the historic site where Dr BR Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with thousands of his followers in 1956.

At 10 AM, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a new extension to the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre.

The center will feature a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments, and 14 modular operation theaters to provide affordable and world-class eye care services.

In the afternoon, at around 12:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Loitering Munition Testing Range and Runway facility for UAVs at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited in Nagpur.

This will help enhance defense capabilities and aerospace infrastructure in the region.

PM To Visit Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh

After his engagements in Nagpur, the Prime Minister will travel to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, where he will lay the foundation stone, initiate projects, and dedicate multiple development initiatives to the nation.

The total worth of these projects exceeds Rs 33,700 crore.

Prime Minister Modi will focus on strengthening Chhattisgarh’s infrastructure, especially in the power sector.

He will lay the foundation stone for NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III, a Rs 9,790 crore project that will use Ultra-Supercritical Technology to boost power generation efficiency.

He will also initiate the commencement of work on the First Super Critical Thermal Power Project (2X660MW) of the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company, worth Rs 15,800 crore.

Additionally, he will dedicate three power transmission projects by POWERGRID under the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES), valued at Rs 560 crore.

In line with India’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).

The Rs 1,285 crore project will span several districts, including Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Surguja, and will provide clean and sustainable energy solutions.

Boosting Connectivity With Railway And Road Projects

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate to the nation several railway projects, including seven projects covering 108 kilometers and three projects covering 111 kilometers, valued at Rs 2,690 crore.

He will also flag off the MEMU train service in the Abhanpur-Raipur section and dedicate 100% electrification of Indian Railways’ network in Chhattisgarh.

Regarding road infrastructure, the Prime Minister will dedicate the upgraded Jhalmala-Sherpar section of NH-930 (37 km) and the Ambikapur-Pathalgaon section of NH-43 (75 km), valued at Rs 1,270 crore.

He will also lay the foundation for the upgrade of the Kondagaon-Narayanpur section of NH-130D (47.5 km).

In his commitment to education, the Prime Minister will dedicate two key initiatives: 130 PM SHRI Schools across 29 districts in Chhattisgarh and the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) in Raipur.

These schools will be upgraded with modern infrastructure, smart boards, and laboratories to improve the quality of education.

The VSK will allow for online monitoring and data analysis of education-related government schemes.
