PM Modi Urges Youth To Join Politics With Dedication In First Podcast

In his first-ever podcast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an engaging conversation with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, where he emphasized the significance of youth involvement in politics. He urged young individuals to enter the political arena with a spirit of dedication and sacrifice, rather than for personal ambition.

PM Modi shared the podcast trailer on his X handle, expressing excitement for its release. “I hope you all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!” he wrote, inviting listeners to delve into the two-hour conversation that touched on multiple aspects of his life.

Throughout the podcast, PM Modi reflected on his early years, education, and how setbacks shaped his leadership. He emphasized that true success in politics is not merely about ambition but about commitment, empathy, and teamwork. “Being a politician is different from succeeding in politics,” he stated, stressing that success is built on the ability to connect with people and work together.

The Prime Minister underscored the need for good people to enter politics with a clear mission. He highlighted the importance of young leaders driven by a selfless desire to serve the nation. “India requires one lakh dedicated young politicians,” he said, reiterating his earlier call from the Red Fort for young leaders who prioritize the country’s well-being above personal ambition. “In politics, the aim is sacrifice,” PM Modi added.

Qualities Of Great Leaders: Empathy And Selflessness

PM Modi discussed the qualities that define effective leadership, including empathy, hard work, and strong communication skills. Drawing a parallel with Mahatma Gandhi, he explained how Gandhi’s principles inspired millions, despite his simple appearance. “Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi were not defined by appearances but by their principles and dedication to the country,” he remarked.

The Prime Minister also shared personal anecdotes, reflecting on his own journey. He recalled how party worker and minister Ashok Bhatt would go above and beyond to address issues in Vadodara, exemplifying the selfless dedication required in politics. This, PM Modi noted, illustrates the tough but fulfilling nature of political life.

Staying Grounded: Reconnecting With The Past

PM Modi also opened up about his early life, recalling how he left home at a young age and lost touch with childhood friends. After becoming Chief Minister of Gujarat, he invited former classmates, teachers, and relatives to reconnect, which helped him stay grounded and humble. “Such gatherings kept me connected to my roots,” he said.

Nikhil Kamath praised PM Modi’s vision and expressed hope that the podcast would inspire young people to consider politics as a meaningful career path. Through this candid conversation, the Prime Minister encouraged the youth to see politics not just as a profession, but as an opportunity to serve the nation with integrity and dedication.
