There is tremendous enthusiasm across the country for PM Modi’s appeal to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ on Diwali. This campaign is getting great response on social media. Recently, PM Modi asked people to buy local products and upload selfies on NaMo app, after which people are not only buying local products but are also taking selfies while shopping and uploading them on NaMo app. The sale of local products has received a significant boost.
PM Modi has urged the people of the country to encourage ‘Vocal for Local’ with a resolve to strengthen local cottage industries, artisans and craftsmen facing livelihood crisis. PM Modi, who took the pledge of a self-reliant India after assuming power at the Centre, is constantly trying to connect people with this campaign with the help of the mantra ‘Vocal for the Local’.
The government not only provides financial and technical support to small, local artisans and entrepreneurs through various schemes, but is also giving a movement to the sentiments of the common people towards local artisans and products.
