Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday engaged in an interactive session with students, teachers and parents during the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, emphasising that board examinations form the foundation for future academic and career opportunities.
Addressing students from across the country, PM Modi urged them to treat board exams as a priority and not take them lightly. He said disciplined preparation and a clear understanding of concepts are essential for success, especially as exam-related pressure intensifies during this period.
“Board exams should be seen as the base on which future opportunities are built,” the Prime Minister said, noting that focused preparation helps students develop confidence and clarity.
PM Modi also offered practical advice on managing board examinations alongside competitive exams. He explained that a strong grasp of the board syllabus naturally prepares students for competitive tests, reducing the need for separate and excessive preparation.
“If you understand your board syllabus well, you do not need to put in a lot of extra effort for competitive exams,” he said, adding that clear concepts and consistent study habits help students prepare for both simultaneously while minimising stress.
The session saw candid exchanges, with students raising questions on exam anxiety, career choices and study techniques.
Teachers and parents also sought guidance, as PM Modi urged students to face exams with confidence. Now in its ninth year, Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a key academic event.
This year’s edition adopted a broader national format, strengthening direct engagement between the Prime Minister and students nationwide.
By addressing exam stress and offering guidance, the programme continues to inspire young minds and reinforce the values of resilience, focus and clarity in academic life.
