PM Modi Urges IAS Officer Trainees To Lead India’s Viksit Bharat Journey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with 183 IAS Officer Trainees of the 2024 batch and called upon them to become key drivers of India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047.

At Seva Teerth, PM Modi addressed the session and urged the young officers to dedicate themselves to nation-building. He called on them to serve with commitment, innovation and a strong sense of public duty.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the officers serving as Assistant Secretaries across various Ministries and Departments. He said they would use their talent, energy and dedication to advance India’s development journey

The trainees also shared insights from their field assignments and Ministry attachments.

PM Modi noted that the officers had completed two years of administrative training and field exposure. He said their decisions would now shape both their careers and the lives of millions of citizens.

Prime Minister Modi emphasised that integrity, sensitivity and commitment remain essential qualities in public service.

The Prime Minister urged officers to place citizens at the heart of every administrative decision.

Referring to the principle of ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’, PM Modi reminded them that every official file reflects the hopes, concerns and aspirations of ordinary people.

Highlighting the importance of data-driven governance, PM Modi advised officers to measure success through outcomes rather than positions. He stressed that data should represent real lives and encouraged continuous evaluation of policy implementation on the ground.

PM Modi also underlined national priorities such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, manufacturing expansion, energy security and youth empowerment.

The Prime Minister noted that governance has evolved from a process-oriented system to a results-focused model supported by digital technology and artificial intelligence.

PM Modi further welcomed the growing participation of women in administration, noting that women constitute more than 40 per cent of the current batch.

Several senior government officials attended the interaction.
