During the inaugural rally of the NDA in Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a plea to the audience to descend from an electrical tower to prevent any potential accidents. The incident occurred in Boppudi village, near Chilakaluripet town in Palnadu district, where several individuals climbed the tower to catch a glimpse of the prime minister. Expressing concern for their safety, PM Modi emphasized the dangers posed by the electrical wires surrounding the tower and urged the crowd to prioritize their well-being. He also instructed police officials to ensure the safety of attendees and prevent further attempts to climb the tower.

This incident echoes a similar occurrence at PM Modi’s election rally in Secunderabad, Telangana, where a woman climbed a light tower in an attempt to communicate with him.

PM Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh marks the beginning of the campaign for both the Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The BJP, in alliance with the TDP and Janasena, aims to consolidate support for the upcoming polls. This joint effort signifies a significant moment as all three leaders share the stage for the first time in the 2024 election campaign.

The NDA partners finalized their seat-sharing arrangement after extensive discussions at Naidu’s residence in Undavalli. According to the agreement, the BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats, while the TDP will vie for 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats. Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena will contest in two Lok Sabha and 21 assembly constituencies.
