Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka and Telangana on Sunday to participate in major public programmes and launch development projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore.
The visit will begin in Bengaluru, where the Prime Minister will attend the 45th anniversary celebrations of the Art of Living organisation and the 70th birthday celebrations of its founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
At the Art of Living International Centre, PM Modi will inaugurate the newly built Dhyan Mandir, a meditation hall designed to promote inner peace and holistic well-being. He will also launch several nationwide initiatives focusing on mental wellness, rural development, environmental conservation and social transformation.
Founded in 1981, the Art of Living has evolved into a global humanitarian and educational organisation operating in more than 180 countries through volunteer-driven programmes and community initiatives.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Hyderabad to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for several infrastructure and industrial projects aimed at improving connectivity, logistics and economic growth in Telangana.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the four-laning of National Highway-167 between Gudebellur and Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor.
The Rs 3,175 crore project is expected to improve connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka and reduce travel time. He will also launch the Zaheerabad Industrial Area project in Sangareddy district, expected to attract major investments and generate employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the PM MITRA Park at Warangal to strengthen India’s textile sector and dedicate railway projects, the Malkapur Terminal Project and Hyderabad’s Sindhu Hospital to the nation.
