PM Modi To Unveil Jain Heritage Museum And Roll Out ₹20,000 Crore Projects In Gujarat

PM Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on March 31 to inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar and launch a series of development projects across the state.

He said before the visit, “The Samrat Samprati Museum is a testament to the rich legacy of Jainism and India’s civilisational traditions. It will provide visitors with a chronological understanding of the evolution of Jainism and its contributions to humanity.”

The Prime Minister will open the museum at 10:00 a.m. on Mahavir Jayanti at the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus. Named after Samrat Samprati, grandson of Emperor Ashoka, the museum presents India’s spiritual and historical traditions.

It houses seven galleries displaying more than 2,000 rare artefacts, including sculptures, manuscripts, coins, and paintings, supported by modern digital installations.

He added, “The museum not only preserves our heritage but also showcases the exemplary Jain culture and its enduring influence on society.”

At 12:45 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad, marking progress in India’s semiconductor manufacturing sector.

He said, “This adds more momentum to India’s efforts to become a hub for semiconductors. It will give impetus to India being self-reliant in high technology manufacturing.”

The facility will manufacture Intelligent Power Modules used in industrial and automotive sectors and will supply them to international companies.

Expanding India’s Semiconductor Capacity

This unit will become the second operational semiconductor facility in the country after Micron Technology under the India Semiconductor Mission. It will produce millions of units daily, strengthening domestic capabilities in advanced electronics manufacturing.

Later in the day, PM Modi will visit Vav-Tharad to inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects worth over ₹20,000 crore across sectors, including roads, railways, power, and urban development.

He will open the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and initiate key road expansion works to improve connectivity.

The Prime Minister will dedicate railway projects such as track doubling and gauge conversion to improve regional transport. He will also launch renewable energy transmission infrastructure and several urban development projects, including hospital facilities and student hostels for tribal communities.

Tourism initiatives such as light and sound shows at Rani ki Vav and infrastructure at religious sites will be introduced. Water supply schemes and riverfront expansion in Gandhinagar will enhance civic amenities.

These initiatives underline the government’s focus on combining cultural preservation with modern development to strengthen economic growth across India.
