Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Greater Noida on Thursday morning to inaugurate the third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show.
District authorities and police have finalised extensive preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Noida Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh confirmed that a four-tier security cordon is in place, with strict checks at district borders to avoid any breaches.
Authorities have deployed more than 5,000 personnel, including traffic police, women police, intelligence units, special commandos and paramilitary forces.
She added that drone cameras and CCTV will monitor activities in and around the Expo Mart complex, the venue of the show.
Traffic diversions have been implemented, and dedicated parking zones have been created to ease congestion for visitors.
The trade show aligns with the government’s Make in India, Vocal for Local and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives and will attract investors from all districts of Uttar Pradesh, along with major industrial houses and entrepreneurs from other states.
Officials anticipate that the five-day event will generate fresh investment, create new employment opportunities and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s industrial profile.
This year’s edition will be the largest so far and will bring together thousands of exhibitors, global buyers, policymakers, industry experts and business professionals under one roof.
Running until September 29, the show will highlight the state’s diverse industrial and investment potential.
Later on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Banswara in Rajasthan to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹1.08 lakh crore.
The launch of the 2,800 MW Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project will strengthen India’s energy sector.
