PM Modi To Launch World Food India 2025 Mega Event In Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025, a major global food event, on September 25 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Scheduled from September 25 to 28, this flagship event aims to position India as the ‘Food Hub of the World’ by fostering greater collaboration, innovation, and investment across the entire food processing value chain.

Building on the success of previous editions, World Food India 2025 promises to be an international platform that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and other key stakeholders.

The event will enable participants to connect, collaborate, and explore numerous opportunities within India’s fast-growing food processing ecosystem.

Extensive Exhibitor Participation

The event expects a significant presence of both domestic and international exhibitors, making it one of the most comprehensive showcases of the global food industry.

Exhibitors will display cutting-edge innovations, advanced technologies, and solutions spanning food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain, and allied sectors.

This year, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia have been named Partner Countries, reflecting their growing trade and diplomatic ties with India.

Additionally, Japan, the UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will participate as Focus Countries.

Their involvement is expected to deepen bilateral relations, enhance knowledge exchange, and open new avenues for trade and investment in the food processing sector.

World Food India 2025 will feature high-level knowledge sessions and panel discussions led by global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.

These sessions will focus on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in food processing and allied sectors.

The event will also offer B2B and B2G networking platforms to foster strategic partnerships and collaborations between businesses and governments, further accelerating sectoral growth.

Culinary Experiences and Competitions

Highlighting India’s rich culinary heritage, the event will showcase diverse culinary experiences and chef competitions.

These will celebrate India’s food diversity while also presenting global trends in healthy, sustainable, and futuristic foods, reinforcing India’s position on the global food map.

Two prestigious international events will run alongside World Food India 2025:

  • The 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit, organised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), will provide a forum for regulators worldwide to discuss harmonisation of food safety standards and promote regulatory cooperation.
  • The 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS) by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI) will focus on India’s expanding seafood export potential and its linkages with global markets.

Further, World Food India 2025 reflects India’s vision to become a global food processing powerhouse by integrating innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration.

The event is also likely to boost economic growth, generate employment, and strengthen India’s role as a leading food hub worldwide.
