PM Modi will begin his tour in Arunachal Pradesh, where he will lay foundation stones for several development projects in Itanagar valued at over ₹5,100 crore.
His address at a public function will underline the government’s focus on infrastructure, energy, and regional development.
Central to the visit are two major hydropower projects – the Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and the Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW) – together worth over ₹3,700 crore in the Siyom sub-basin.
These initiatives aim to harness Arunachal Pradesh’s vast hydroelectric potential and promote sustainable energy generation, providing long-term economic and environmental benefits.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Convention Centre at Tawang, situated over 9,820 feet above sea level.
Designed to host over 1,500 delegates, the centre will meet international standards and provide a platform for national and global conferences, cultural festivals, and exhibitions.
Officials note that it will support the region’s tourism and cultural initiatives while creating local employment opportunities.
In addition to energy and convention facilities, PM Modi will launch multiple infrastructure projects worth over ₹1,290 crore.
These projects span sectors such as connectivity, healthcare, fire safety, and hostels for working women.
The initiatives are expected to improve the quality of life, foster economic activity, and strengthen regional connectivity.
The Prime Minister will also engage with taxpayers, traders, and industry representatives to discuss the benefits of recent GST rate rationalisation, reinforcing his vision of ease of doing business and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.
After visiting Arunachal Pradesh, PM Modi will travel to Tripura to inaugurate the redevelopment of the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex at Matabari under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive) scheme.
Officials have redeveloped the temple, one of the 51 ancient Shakti Peethas in Udaipur town, Gomati district, adding new pathways, renovated entrances, a drainage system, and a three-storied complex with stalls, meditation halls, guest accommodations, and office rooms. The temple’s layout resembles a tortoise when viewed from above.
Officials highlight that the upgraded temple will enhance tourism, generate employment, provide business opportunities, and contribute to the region’s overall socio-economic development while preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
PM Modi’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable development, regional prosperity, and cultural preservation in the northeast.
The combination of infrastructure expansion, energy projects, and heritage promotion promises long-term benefits for local communities and positions Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura as key destinations for tourism and economic growth.
