Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on Saturday. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for major infrastructure, connectivity, energy and technology projects. The initiatives will boost regional development and economic growth.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram.
Built under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model at a cost of over Rs 5,640 crore, the Greenfield airport will handle six million passengers annually. It will improve air connectivity, promote tourism, attract investment and generate employment.
Ahead of the visit, PM Modi posted on X, “In Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh, the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport will be inaugurated. This is a modern and futuristic airport that will boost connectivity, commerce and tourism. This project also incorporates principles of sustainability and energy efficiency.”

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the ASIP Semiconductor Project in Visakhapatnam.
The Rs 460-crore facility is Andhra Pradesh’s first semiconductor manufacturing unit approved under the India Semiconductor Mission. It will manufacture nearly 96 million chips annually and create skilled jobs.
PM Modi will also launch renewable energy transmission projects worth over Rs 9,900 crore. These Powergrid projects will integrate renewable power from Kurnool and Ananthapuram into the National Grid.
The Prime Minister will dedicate National Highway projects worth Rs 1,880 crore. The projects include Greenfield highway stretches on NH-365BG, the Tadipatri Bypass on NH-67 and a high-level bridge on NH-565. They will reduce congestion, improve road safety and shorten travel time between Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
Later, the Prime Minister will visit Mysuru. He will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre, Viveka Smaraka and address a public gathering.
The centre spans more than 81,000 square feet. It also houses a 4-D Experience Centre, an exhibition hall, a 700-seat amphitheatre, a library, a meditation hall and dedicated student facilities.
The visit will strengthen infrastructure, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and cultural heritage in both states.
