PM Modi To Launch ₹26,000 Crore Projects During Rajasthan Visit On May 22

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Deshnoke in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district on 22 May to launch and dedicate multiple development initiatives worth over ₹26,000 crore.

As part of his visit, the Prime Minister will offer prayers at the Karni Mata Temple, a revered site for devotees across the country.

One of the key highlights of the visit will be the inauguration of the newly redeveloped Deshnoke Railway Station, modernised under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The station’s design, inspired by traditional temple architecture, will serve as a model for blending regional heritage with modern infrastructure.

PM Modi will also flag off the Bikaner-Mumbai Express, enhancing connectivity between western Rajasthan and major urban centres.

In line with the nationwide rail upgrade, PM Modi will inaugurate 103 Amrit Bharat Stations across 86 districts in 18 States and Union Territories.

These stations have been redeveloped at a cost of over ₹1,100 crore and incorporate local architecture and cultural art forms, with facilities designed for inclusivity and sustainability.

Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for the Churu-Sadulpur rail line and dedicate electrified rail routes including Suratgarh–Phalodi, Phulera–Degana, Udaipur–Himmatnagar, Phalodi–Jaisalmer, and Samdari–Barmer.

These projects align with Indian Railways’ goal of 100% network electrification.

Road & Highway Upgrades

The Prime Minister will also unveil seven road infrastructure projects and lay the foundation for three vehicle underpasses and highway widening works.

Worth over ₹4,850 crore, these projects will significantly improve mobility for residents, facilitate trade, and enhance strategic connectivity to the Indo-Pak border areas, supporting defence logistics.

In the clean energy sector, PM Modi will lay foundation stones for solar power projects at Bikaner and Nawa, and transmission systems under PowerGrid initiatives.

He will also inaugurate the solar power project at Bikaner and transmission facilities to support energy evacuation and distribution.

These steps will boost renewable energy supply and reduce carbon emissions.

The Prime Minister will further inaugurate and launch 25 state government projects across Rajasthan, including water supply schemes, health infrastructure, and road upgrades.

These include the Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project in Jhunjhunu and the restructuring of water supply schemes in seven towns of Pali under AMRUT 2.0.

In health services, he will inaugurate nursing colleges in Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur to address healthcare manpower needs in the region.

With these initiatives, PM Modi’s visit marks a major step forward in transforming Rajasthan’s infrastructure, enhancing regional connectivity, and strengthening socio-economic development across the state.
