PM Modi To Inaugurate Purnia Airport On September 15; Address Public Rally

PM Narendra Modi will visit Bihar’s Purnia on September 15 to inaugurate the long-awaited Purnia Airport. He will also flag off the first commercial service from the facility, fulfilling a major regional demand.

A senior BJP leader in Bihar said the project marks a significant milestone for the Seemanchal region.

“Prime Minister Modi will give a big gift to the people of Seemanchal by inaugurating the airport, which has been a long-standing demand of the region,” the leader stated.

Following the inauguration, PM Modi will address a public rally at Shishabari village. People from Purnia, Katihar, Araria, and Kishanganj districts are expected to attend the event in large numbers.

The BJP leader added that as part of the government’s measures to empower women, ₹10,000 will be transferred into the bank account of one woman from each family.

He emphasised, “The Prime Minister is coming with the vision of fulfilling the dream of a developed Bihar.”

Earlier on Tuesday, PM Modi inaugurated the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited through video conferencing. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, and other leaders joined the event.

During the launch, PM Modi transferred ₹105 crore into the account of the institution. He highlighted that the scheme aims to ensure that the women of Bihar have equal access to opportunities.

PM Modi Empowering Women Through Jeevika Nidhi

In a post on X, PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment.

Taking to X, the PM posted, “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the mothers, sisters, and daughters of our Bihar do not lack any opportunities. In this regard, today around 12:30 PM, I will inaugurate a major initiative for rural women entrepreneurs through video conferencing.”

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Jeevika Nidhi will provide affordable funds to community members associated with Jeevika.

All registered cluster-level federations under Jeevika will join the cooperative society, with financial support from both the Bihar and Central governments.
