PM Modi To Inaugurate Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations With Star-Studded Cultural Showcase

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Mahotsav (Silver Jubilee) celebrations on Saturday at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Commerce and Trade Complex in Nava Raipur.

The event will mark 25 years since the state’s formation with a five-day cultural extravaganza that blends traditional tribal heritage with national artistic excellence.

The Silver Jubilee festival, held from November 1 to 5, will highlight the theme of unity and cultural pride.

The opening ceremony begins at 11 AM with a performance by Aishwarya Pandit, followed by an evening showcase at 8 PM featuring PC Lal Yadav, Aaru Sahu, Dushyant Harmukh, Nirmala Thakur, and Hansraj Raghuvanshi performing soulful bhajans.

Each day of the festival will bring together artists from across India, offering audiences a blend of folk, Sufi, and Bollywood music that reflects the state’s cultural diversity.

National Artists Join the Line-up

On November 2, the cultural programmes will begin at 6.30 PM with performances by Sunil Tiwari, Jayshree Nair’s Chinhari, The Girl Band, and Padma Shri Domar Singh Kanwar’s Nacha Dal, leading to a lively performance by Aditya Narayan at 9 PM.

The following evening will feature Padma Shri Usha Barle, Rakesh Sharma, Kuleshwar Tamrakar, and a Sufi segment before Bhoomi Trivedi takes the stage with her high-energy songs at 9 PM.

On November 4, audiences will enjoy performances by the Kala Kendra Raipur Band, Rekha Dewar, and Prakash Awasthi from 6 PM, followed by Ankit Tiwari at 9 PM, performing his popular Bollywood hits.

The festival will conclude on November 5 with performances by the ensemble from Indira Kala Sangeet University and Poonam Virat Tiwari. The evening will then lead up to Kailash Kher’s powerful Sufi-folk fusion.

The closing act will feature a thrilling aerial display by the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team.

Alongside the main stage, the Shilpgram venue will host a daily celebration of local artisans and handicrafts. It will also showcase folk traditions that reflect Chhattisgarh’s deep-rooted cultural identity.
