Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a special dinner for all National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs on Thursday at his official residence in New Delhi.
The gathering marks one of the most significant internal meetings of the alliance since its victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. Organisers initially planned the event for the previous Parliament session but postponed it due to severe flooding in Punjab.
According to sources, MPs from all constituent parties will attend the dinner. The government has tasked senior Union ministers with liaising with members from their respective regions to ensure smooth coordination.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP MP Sukanta Majumdar are overseeing arrangements for MPs from Odisha and West Bengal, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is responsible for coordination with MPs from the Northeastern states.
Nearly 54 tables have been arranged for the dinner, each seating eight MPs from across the alliance. A Union minister will attend every table, and the Prime Minister will engage with members at each seating group.
Earlier this week, PM Modi had briefed NDA MPs on the government’s long-term roadmap, with particular emphasis on public welfare initiatives and improved governance.
The dinner will feature further discussions on strategic priorities, allowing alliance partners to engage in open and constructive dialogue.
Sources said the organisers designed the event as a forum for candid conversations to strengthen coordination within the coalition and align political objectives.
The meeting will also address early strategies for the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam. With crucial state contests ahead, coalition partners are likely to review regional dynamics and refine their electoral approaches.
Senior ministers, floor leaders, and NDA MPs will attend the dinner and actively reaffirm the alliance’s collective direction while focusing on legislative priorities for the ongoing Parliament session.
