During the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold consecutive roadshows in Bhubaneswar and Patna. Below are the details:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on 10 May. Enhanced security measures have been implemented in preparation for the event.
Prateek Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Bhubaneswar, announced, “PM Modi is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar on 10 May, where a roadshow is planned along Janpath. The roadshow is scheduled for the evening hours. We have made necessary arrangements following the prescribed guidelines. I will personally oversee the area to ensure the absence of any suspicious individuals during the event.”
PM Modi will additionally participate in election rallies across the state on 11 May.
The state of Odisha is set to conduct Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections in 4 phases spanning from 13 May to 1 June. Vote counting is slated for June 4.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold another significant roadshow in Patna on 12 May.
The roadshow is aimed at supporting the BJP candidates contesting from the Patliputra and Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seats.
Bihar BJP President and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary disclosed the program details. He stated that the sitting BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad and Ram Kripal Yadav, contesting from Patna Sahib and Patliputra respectively, will be present during the roadshow.
Choudhary highlighted that this roadshow marks a historic first for a Prime Minister.
Scheduled for the evening of 12 May at the Dak Bungalow Chowk area, the event is anticipated to draw not just locals but people from across the state.
Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasized the significance of the roadshow. He stated that it would underscore the Prime Minister’s efforts in safeguarding the Constitution and promoting national development. He emphasized the strengthening of the reservation system as a key accomplishment.
Ram Kripal Yadav expressed confidence in the massive turnout, citing the participation of thousands from Patliputra.
Responding to the upcoming roadshow, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav stated his intention to counter with a job show. He criticized the BJP’s focus on misinformation rather than addressing pertinent issues such as education and healthcare.
