PM Modi To Celebrate Vajpayee’s Legacy With Rashtriya Prerna Sthal Inauguration

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow on December 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Pathak emphasised that the site is not only a tribute to national icons but also a symbol of civic transformation and environmental rejuvenation in the city.

The Rashtriya Prerna Sthal celebrates the contributions of leaders such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

A major highlight of the park is the unveiling of a large statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, designed to inspire citizens and visitors alike.

The park’s creation underscores the importance of honouring India’s eminent personalities while fostering a sense of national pride.

Urban Transformation and Environmental Restoration

The park spans around 80–85 acres, much of which had previously been occupied by a massive garbage dump.

Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister AK Sharma said officials removed over 6.5 lakh metric tonnes of waste and successfully reclaimed 32 acres of land.

Once neglected and unsanitary, the site now forms a sprawling green space, showcasing the state government’s commitment to urban redevelopment and environmental restoration.

Designers have meticulously created the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal to provide visitors with a serene and motivational environment.

Visitors can explore landscaped gardens, walking pathways, and statues that celebrate the lives and achievements of India’s great leaders.

The park’s layout blends modern urban planning with heritage preservation, making it both an educational and recreational space.

Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration is likely to draw nationwide attention and highlight Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to create civic spaces that combine historical remembrance with environmental and social benefits.

The project aims to inspire citizens while promoting awareness of India’s political and cultural heritage, setting a benchmark for similar initiatives across the country.

With its strategic location and thoughtful design, the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal is set to become a key landmark in Lucknow.

Beyond celebrating national leaders, it serves as a symbol of sustainable urban development, civic pride, and public engagement.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s journey towards creating inspirational spaces that merge history, culture, and modernity.
