PM Modi To Attend Historic Ceremony Marking 350 Years Of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Martyrdom

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana today to participate in a series of significant cultural and spiritual ceremonies in Kurukshetra.

The visit gains immense historical value as it marks the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur, whose unparalleled sacrifice for humanity and religious freedom people remember across the world.

The state government, in collaboration with the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, is holding a grand event at Jyotisar to honour the Guru’s legacy.

PM Modi will attend the samagam as the chief guest, where tributes will be offered to celebrate Guru Tegh Bahadur’s teachings, courage, and spiritual contributions.

The ceremony aims to spread the message of his sacrifice and reaffirm its relevance for future generations.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasised that the Haryana government actively preserves and promotes the values, traditions, and contributions of the Sikh Gurus.

After commemorating the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev with great reverence, the state now continues its efforts through the Shaheedi Diwas celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Visit to Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra

Following the ceremony, PM Modi will visit the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, an immersive cultural centre designed to bring the epic’s narratives to life.

The centre will soon open to domestic and international tourists, offering a modern experience of India’s ancient heritage.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate Panchjanya, a key attraction on the same premises.

Adding to the significance of the day, PM Modi will take part in the International Gita Mahotsav—an annual global celebration of the Bhagavad Gita’s timeless teachings.

He will also participate in the Maha Aarti, which symbolises a moment of spiritual unity and devotion at the historic site of Kurukshetra, where people believe Lord Krishna delivered the Gita.

Chief Minister Saini highlighted that Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice for the protection of humanity and religious freedom forms an essential part of India’s spiritual and cultural identity.

He said the state will educate future generations about the Guru’s life and message and will ensure that his legacy continues to inspire courage, compassion, and unity.

PM Modi’s visit reinforces the government’s resolve to preserve spiritual heritage while promoting cultural tourism in Haryana, marking an important moment for the state’s historical and religious landscape.
